Magic Rubik's cube transformation creates container office area

Originally a pure industrial base, the northern coast of Copenhagen has now been gradually transformed into a part of this growing city. During the renovation, although the original factories, shipping terminals and port terminals were idle, the development here is getting faster and faster.
The project is stacking the recycled containers, as experimental prefabricated components, to three layers, this solution challenged the widespread waste disposal problem and traditional construction techniques. The flexible and large-span space between container units is mainly used as offices, the indoor space can also provide second function, such as meeting rooms, studios and storage.
The high-performance insulation sandwich panels on the exterior of the container building help to protect the building from the harsh climate in Scandinavia. These sandwich panels are fastened directly to the container frame as windows, roofing elements and floors. Pipeline, wireway and other plumbing are all exposed, easy to install and disassemble.
From the container's 40-foot interior space to 120-foot-tall spaces between different units, the varied space experience and dimensions can be adapted to a variety of different usage functions. Staggered floors and large windows generate a sense of being as if working in a large family with different work groups in different parts of the building. In addition, the large floor-to-ceiling windows ensure that the sun shines in the deepest part of the building during the day, minimizing the use of lights.

Large-span flexible space between two containers is for office purpose.
