Low Cost Series - Constructions

This is one of the low cost construction projects - mobile house. This project is supported by The Children's Investment Fund to improve the conditions of low income family. This container building is located in a small hamlet of Korea. In this family, there are parents and five kids. Anyway, we could seek the suitable solutions. To save the cost and create larger space, the designer found the materials which could reduce the costs. Most mobile home manufacturers choose container building, which decreases the construction time. However, the insulativity is not better than traditional buildings. At the same time, the noise from floor could not be shielded. Those problems need us to solve. Because the building has single floor, there will be another problem - heat retaining property. The next step solution is that we divide one container building to two parts, that is modular construction. Then the main steel construction of whole building will be created. At last, three insulating layers are set within the house. The new space is created in the building. This project involves in steel construction, container, rigid frame, color steel and etc. These additional areas are connected with nature. They could be opened in summer and closed in winter. Besides an open loft is created. In this way, the kids could enjoy themselves in this building.
